AirwayAware — the app and the website
Write to us and a real person will reply. We aim to answer within two working days.
kedarbakshi@gmail.comIt helps if you tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Tap AirwayAware, then Cancel Subscription
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the period you have already paid for comes to an end.
I paid, but the app still says locked
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still does not unlock, write to us.
I changed phones. Do I pay again?
No. Sign in with the same Apple Account, open the app, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases.
Will my score history move to my new phone?
AirwayAware does not provide cloud sync for your questionnaire answers, scores, practice history or recorded nights. We do not upload those data to any server we control. If Apple restores your iPhone from a device backup, iOS may restore app data as part of that process. Your subscription can be restored separately with the same Apple Account.
The night audio tracks — how should I listen?
Some night tracks use binaural beats, which only work when a different tone reaches each ear. Headphones or earphones are required — through a speaker the effect does not happen at all.
These tracks are meant to make you drowsy, so never listen while driving or doing anything that needs your attention. They are not intended for use during pregnancy, not intended for children, and if you have epilepsy or any seizure disorder please ask your doctor before using them. Keep the volume low and stop if you feel unwell.
How do I record a night?
Open the Night tab and tap Record tonight. Connect your oximeter there if you have one (optional), tap Next and answer a few questions about your evening. Put the phone on its charger beside your pillow, tap Start recording and allow the microphone. You can lock the phone. In the morning, unlock it and tap Finish — show my night. Please do not swipe the app away during the night.
Connecting a pulse oximeter
The oximeter is optional. Switch it on, put it on your finger, and on the first screen of Record tonight tap Connect the oximeter, then allow Bluetooth. The app has been tested with the YK-80B finger oximeter. If yours does not connect, close any other app that uses it and try once more; if it still does not connect, write to us with its make and model.
How do I show my night to a doctor?
Open the night in the Night tab and tap Share as PDF. Your phone's share sheet opens: send it by WhatsApp or email, or save it to Files. The report has no name on it unless you add one.
The lecture shows a padlock on some chapters
The first chapters of Dr. Bakshi's lecture are free. The chapters with a padlock are part of the subscription. If you have subscribed and still see padlocks, tap Restore Purchases in Settings.
A video will not play
Videos are downloaded as you watch. Check your internet connection, then close the app fully and reopen it. On a slow connection, give it a few seconds to start.
I want a refund
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account. If something is broken, please write to us first — we would rather fix it than have you leave.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting AirwayAware removes the app's locally stored data from that device, including your night recordings and oximeter readings. AirwayAware does not provide cloud sync for your questionnaire answers, scores, practice history or nights, and we do not store those data on any server we control. (If you use the Android app connected to your own clinic, ask your clinic to delete what it holds.) Anything you chose to send us by email is separate; write to us if you want help with a request concerning that.
Can I ask Dr. Bakshi a question?
Inside Learn you will find a library of questions people have asked, answered by Dr. Bakshi. There is no message form in the app in this version.
You are welcome to email kedarbakshi@gmail.com. Please understand that there is no private consultation, that any reply is general education rather than personal medical advice, and that no doctor–patient relationship is created. Please do not send medical records, photographs or test results.
The website
Does the website keep my answers?
Only in your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to us. If you clear this site's data, or use another browser, they are gone.
Breathing practice on a computer
Use Chrome or Edge on Android, Windows or a Mac, switch the oximeter on, and tap Connect. iPhone and iPad browsers do not offer Bluetooth, so there you can breathe with the circle and measure your comfortable pause. The AirwayAware app reads the oximeter on iPhone.
I have a link from my clinic. Can I use it on the website?
Yes. Open the members page and paste the whole link (it starts with sixfigures.in), or just its code. That browser then opens everything, for as long as your clinic keeps the link open.
Important
AirwayAware is educational. It does not diagnose sleep apnoea or any other condition and is not a substitute for seeing a clinician. The night recording and its report are not a sleep study.
If you are worried about your breathing or your sleep, see a doctor. If you already use CPAP or another prescribed treatment, do not stop or change it because of anything in this app.
This page is not for medical emergencies. If you are falling asleep while driving, do not drive. If you have severe or sudden chest pain, severe breathlessness, or another medical emergency, seek emergency medical care or call your local emergency number.
